FSI's Retail Banking Virtual Conference

September 16-17, 2020

Wednesday, September 16
1:00 - 5:00 PM EDT

Speakers Include:

Danny DeLaRosa
Chief Development Officer
Greater Nevada Credit Union
Sparks, NV

It’s more than just what you do. It’s how you do it, how you communicate it, and the clarity and alignment it brings to your people. Do you have everything you need to best support your customers/members and communities during this challenging time? Because there’s one thing we know for sure right now: communication is critical. You can’t go wrong by focusing on getting your plans and guidance in front of those who need it most right now: your customers/members.

Danny will unpack ways to strengthen your strategic plan and people engagement, explore adaptations to unanticipated changes and events, and examine the value of re-forecasting for company-wide ROI.

Danny leads the organization’s strategic planning and analytics, marketing, business development, and people engagement and development teams. He works to bring first-class financial services to the communities he serves and is an advocate for economic development.

Danny has led teams across the country implementing strategies to drive service, employee engagement, and sustainable growth. His commitment to improving the community is evident in his involvement with local non-profit organizations including previous service as the chairman for the Chamber of Commerce in Reno, board member of Junior Achievement, the Boys and Girls Club of Truckee Meadows, and Mississippi Valley, to name a few.

Dave Martin
Sugar Land, TX

It’s a fair bet that few organizations’ contingency plans included even half of the surprises 2020 has produced. When companies are forced to change standard operating procedures practically overnight, we get some things right and some things not-so-right.

Our initial actions were important. Our adjustments and continued evolution since then are even more vital. In an industry adjusting to massive change, our people – the moving parts of our organizations – are the critical factor between success and failure. Evolving strategies are only as effective as our people’s ability to evolve as well.

Dave will share observations on the financial industry’s evolving strategies and thoughts on keeping our people engaged, informed, and motivated.

Like many in the banking industry, Dave Martin was an accidental banker. After early careers as a radio morning man, marketing director for an oilfield industry supplier, and a stretch working in the finance department of a university research facility, Dave was recruited by a friend to join a bank. Specifically, he was hired to run that institution’s first in-store branch location.

Dave Martin has become one of the most prolific writers in the banking industry. His columns and newsletters are read in thousands of financial institutions each month. His keynote presentations, seminars, and podcasts have an authenticity and humor that brings teams of all sizes and seniority levels together.
