This traditional branch remodel for Tennessee Valley Federal Credit Union, located in Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia, spans nearly 4,000 square feet and is projected to be complete by September 24. Impressively, the branch will only close for two weeks during the ten-week, four-phase process.

Phase one of this project involves the demolition of the 4,000-square-foot lobby, which includes five offices, a customer waiting area, a coffee bar, a concierge desk, and a vestibule. This phase will require 24/7 work for the first two weeks. Week one focuses on demolition, while the second week is dedicated to resurfacing the walls and installing new mill-work and flooring. Once complete, a devising wall will shield the the main lobby allowing the credit union to reopen and service their members while the rest of the building continues the transformation.

After completing the front space, a temporary wall was constructed to separate the ongoing remodel of the rest of the branch during phase 2. This next phase includes additional flooring and electrical work, as well as preparations for the new ITM vestibules with glass enclosures, the drive-up window, and work rooms. Special care was taken to ensure that customers and team members had everything they needed while the branch remained open for business.
