ORNL Federal Credit Union Case Study

CASE STUDY: ORNL Federal Credit Union
GROWTH OBJECTIVE:
Prompted by the retailer’s remodeling plan, the store’s resident financial center, ORNL Federal Credit Union, embraced a major renovation designed to enhance service and value to members. The branch, located inside Food City in
Knoxville, Tennessee, re-opened in its new location within the store only weeks after the design was confirmed.
FSI SOLUTION:
The renovated branch promotes shoulder-to-shoulder service through an innovative open-floor concept. Previously equipped with a single private office, they now have two private offices for members to work directly with branch staff on their deposit and loan service needs. New enhancements to the branch also include updated interior design,
full-service teller pods, interactive digital displays, exposed ceiling, and more.
INNOVATIVE FEATURES:
1. Inviting Touch-Screen Technology: The branch requires minimal printed literature as members/potential members are escorted to the 80”
touch-screen monitor. When not in use, the monitor rotates through
marketing and promotional messages in full, high-definition display.
2. Contemporary Teller Pods: To help create the open-floor concept and a more inviting experience with financial service representatives, teller pods are incorporated in the design perform as fully-functional transaction
stations.
3. Suspended Lighting and Open Ceiling: Atypical to local store design, FSI was able to prepare the open ceiling for a more contemporary décor as well as incorporate stylish, suspended LED lighting.
