BankSouth Case Study

BankSouth Workplace Branch at Hyundai Motor Group Metaplant America
When BankSouth partnered with Hyundai Motor Group Metaplant America (HMGMA) to bring banking services directly to employees, the goal was simple: provide convenient, relationship-based banking where employees work.
Located inside the HMGMA facility in Ellabell, Georgia, the workplace branch features a private office, a two-person teller pod, and an Interactive Teller Machine (ITM), giving employees access to everyday banking services, loans, mortgages, and financial guidance without leaving the workplace.
While the branch design is intentionally simple and efficient, the project presented several unique challenges. FSI worked through language barriers among project stakeholders, coordinated construction within a highly secure manufacturing environment, and engineered a solution for structural limitations by installing additional steel support beams to support the branch infrastructure.
The result is a streamlined workplace banking solution that enhances employee convenience, supports financial wellness, and demonstrates how innovative financial institutions can meet customers where they are.
